A little about the show...

Magic at the Rex is performed in an intimate cocktail lounge that is reminiscent of the 40s, with a comfortable and casual elegance that will put you instantly at ease. No flashing lights, no white tigers, no sawing a lady in half, and definitely no "look, how much smarter I am than you." We guarantee no plastic smiles dressed in tuxedos and sporting perfect hair. This is not magic on television or a kiddie party.

What you will experience at Magic at the Rex is a grown up magic show: intelligent effects that make you gasp in amazement and wonder in awe, performed with humor and respect for our audience. We know our audiences can think, and we wouldn't want it any other way. While we enjoy our ability to do things that seem impossible, our goal is to entertain you completely and to enjoy the magic alongside you.

We are passionate about our magic, we care about our show and we care about the people we ask to join us on stage. When you leave, we hope you will have a different and more nuanced appreciation of magic than you had coming in, and that you will recognize what an important part of the show you were. To us, you, our audiences make the show.

Our show is in three acts, each distinct and each highlighting a different foray in magic and performance style. First, a classic close up act, where you will want to sit as close as possible and listen to every word. Then, an act of extraordinary feats of the mind and body, where you will wonder "were those just tricks or has my perception of reality been forever altered?" Finally, an act combining comedy, magic and mayhem that will only add to the impossibility of the effects that you are witnessing.

Adam, Sebastian and RJ all have long careers in magic, and completely distinct approaches and styles. They will astound you, they will make you laugh and they will leave you wanting more.
